I t ell my self that I need to buy a reliable car, then I go looking at cheap imported Alfa Romeo GTVs. It’s the only car that is werid enough (that I can think of) to top Juke weirdness.

Why not pick up a JDM import kei car? :P
May I suggest a Daihatsu Mira Walkthrough for extra weirdness points?
You could also always import a first-gen HonHonHon? :P

RHD insurance is difficult to get in Ontario. Have spec of dirt on your driving record, & you are out of luck.

DO IT.
The Alfa GTV’s are actually pretty damn reliable if they’ve been serviced properly. Though the timing belt interval got cut to 36k/3yr on the 2.0 Twin Spark . (Possibly because people just weren’t changing it.)

My heart says busso, but budget says twin spark.

FOLLOW YOUR HEART .
I mean really, what’s the worst that could happen with a twin-spark priced busso?

But only on the TwinSpark and a change from the original 72k recommendation.
That’s not even close to the shortest.
Porsche 2.5 (924/944/968) . Timing belt must be inspected at 15k and every 3,000 thereafter, and replaced no later than every 30k or 2 years.

To top heavy for what I do. A Twingo be fun 2nd car, but right now have a one car budget.

I owned a 1992 164-S with the 12-valve Busso, it had over 400K miles on it when we parted ways . Change the timing belt at the specified intervals, keep the oil and coolant happy (watch out for plugged cross-head coolant pipes and worn oil pump pickups) and the rest of that engine is dead reliable. I actually rate that 164 in the top 5 most reliable cars I’ve ever owned. A bad Alfa is a money pit, (but still a joy when it works right) and a good Alfa is just plain amazing. I have been thinking about these too...

Drop top be nice, but for the track it would mean a roll bar. A roll bar on the street is not very smart.

I like it- you should do it. I mean I practically DD my 80s Jaguar as long as the weather is decent.

I see, I did not know you intended to use it that way.
Still, I bet some Italian outfit designed a roll bar specifically for that car that you could put on w h e n n e e d e d .
